This project was started in 1978 under the guidance of the then DCA in Mount Gambier. Woodwork and metal parts were signed off by DCA inspectors as being well constructed. Full details of these inspection are available. The project, in parts, then changed hands several times landing in my shed some ten years ago. After building a Jodel D150 and a COOT A amphibian I have completed the building of this amphibian and have undertaken 14 hours of ground testing as is required in the progression to a final experimental C of A. The Osprey 2 has completed a circuit and the first 14 hours of testing at Maitland Aerodrome where it is hangared. A further period of upper air work testing is required before the final experimental C of A can be issued. The options I am faced with are; to find a competent test pilot to complete the next 12 hours of upper air work testing, to sell the aircraft as it is or to sell the parts for the best price and invest in a wood and fabric alternative aircraft. It seems a pity to see the only flying Osprey 2 amphibian in Australia not complete its CofA test phase. If you feel like being involved in the only Osprey 2 on the register in Australia let's talk, call me on 0428599953
