We have owned the Super Petrel for six years and in that time it's flown 322 hours and 1783 water landings, mainly around Lake Macquarie and a few short trips away. It's been a great aeroplane to learn the fundamental floating hull skills and techniques. We've also carried many enthusiastic passengers for a unique flying experience. The Super Petrel has been regularly maintained by Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers including many improvements to the reliability and operation of the aircraft. The SP is a simple seaplane design with very few corrosive parts, mechanical landing gear and no wing flaps due to the biplane design. The Rotax 912ULS provides excellent take-off performance from land or water even with two occupants. |
