This engine was operated in 2 Diamond HK36 Motorgliders. It is a certified engine and according to the aircraft regulations the engine was removed from the aircraft as it had reached a 15 year life since first installed. The engine has total hours of 1,858 with 142 hours left to run before TBO of 2,000 hours. The engine can be run on condition after the 142 hours are used to TBO. The engine was kept as a spare but is now surplus to requirements. The engine has been operated by a select number of experienced pilots and maintained to a high standard with additional oil & oil filter changes performed every 50 hours over & above the normal 100 hourly requirement. |
