The Police Aero Club of WA is offering up for sale its Grumman Tiger AA-5B. This is one of the best examples of a Tiger AA-5B in Australia. This Grumman Tiger is a joy to fly and is considered an exceptional trainer or touring aircraft. It has one of the best cruise speeds and fuel consumption in its class. It has several outstanding features including a cruise speed of 140 knots at 75% power and a more economical 130 knots at 65% power, and the view from the wrap around cockpit makes it a joy to fly. VH-WPM is operated as a training platform by the Police Aero Club of WA and is fully IRF rated. All of our pilots speak highly of the full 3 axis autopilot linked to the Garmin GNS 430W. This aircraft meets the Civil Aviation Safety Authority's Visual Flight Rules (VFR), Night VFR and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) pilot training requirements making it a cheaper alternative to other aircraft. The aircraft is also fitted with an electronic engine management system. WPM is currently maintained by the Royal Aero Club of WA and underwent a full annual inspection on the 17th December 2024. The propellor has 123 hours left to run and a brand new propellor will be supplied with the aircraft at sale unless it has been fitted beforehand. The new propellor is a Sensenich 76EM8S10-0-62, serial number 107701K. WPM is still being used for training and recreational flying, and this will impact the hours recorded for the airframe, engine and propellor at the time of sale.

Interior
The interior of WPM is in very good condition with sheep skin seat covers and recently replaced carpets.

Exterior
The exterior is in excellent condition and is professionally cleaned and maintained. Paint sealing and polishing of the aircrafts painted surfaces is performed yearly with a logbook entry certifying this work.

WPM will also come with a full fitted cover, pitot covers, tow bar and engine air intake covers.
