The Sonex A is well-respected 'mountain of fun'; cruising comfortably at 120kts while easily stretching its legs to 135kts when asked! But it's the efficiency that is stunning; the type burns between 14 and 17L/h in this cruise range, making it one of the most efficient machines on the market. For a tailwheel it is incredibly docile with the direct steering tailwheel which provides a lot of confidence on the ground. This recent build has been fastidiously LAME maintained and is running beautifully. The upgraded canopy latch offers significant safety improvements over the standard Sonex design. The tailwheel has also been upgraded to pneumatic for far better handling on sealed surfaces. A recently installed Trig TT21 Transponder with ADSB-Out plus TY91 VHF Com radio with dual monitoring completes the package. This aircraft would suit an RPC holder looking for a docile, highly efficient sport aircraft for local fun or short-to-mid-range cruising. From our Seller: "The Jabiru 2200 Gen 1 engine was a zero hour rebuild when installed. It recently had the oil cooler replaced and all associated hosing and connections.
