I'm offering for sale this beautifully restored, extremely well-maintained Tiger Moth.
VH BAL was owned by my Dad, John Murphy (recently passed) for over 40 years, and fastidiously looked after and hangared in Coffs Harbour. At the end of last year I flew the Tiger down to Luskintyre Vintage Aircraft Museum for it's 100 hourly, and kept it hangared there whilst building my own hangar at Cessnock Airport. It is now at Cesnock for inspection
Fresh 100 hourly from mid Febuary 2020 with only TT engine and airframe of 981 hours.
Needs a 100hrly now which will be included.
Engine bulked stripped at 919hrs. Slick magnetos at 930 hours. 2014 new tie rods. 1994 lower wing stripped and a new spar.
Garmin SL40 VHF with intercom
Bendix/King KT76A Transponder
Tail wheels with brakes. Perfect paint job.
Has entered almost all Great Tiger Moth Air Races, winning a 2nd placing, a 1st, and a 3rd in the 2014 race.
