Built and accepted by US Navy July 1942. Served with the US Navy as Bu. No. 09837 at NAS Jacksonville, NAS Vero Beach, NAS Corpus Christie, NAS Daytona Beach and Struck off March 1946. Thereafter, served with the Paraguayan Air Force until retired. Purchased at auction in 1991 by a US Aircraft Dealer and shipped to California. Imported into Australia by Western Warbirds, then sold to its current owner in 1994. Restored to flying condition by Sandora Aviation Pty Ltd, Caboolture, Qld, with its first post restoration flight taking place in July 2009. This SNJ-4 presents beautifully in its original 1943 markings and is issued with a Standard Category Certificate of Airworthiness. VH-NAG has now flown 464 trouble-free Hours Since Full Restoration.
