Over 23,000 Cessna 182 aircraft have been built since the type was introduced in 1956 as a tricycle version of the popular Cessna 180. Significant improvements were introduced in 1978 & 1979, including a 24-volt electrical system and wet wing tanks in those years respectively. The MTOW and useful weight also increased (compared with the 'P' model) while stall speed and excellent slow flight characteristics remained unchanged, making the late 182 models arguably the most robust long-distance single-engined outback tourer ever designed. This example was recently re-sprayed and presents beautifully, with a fresh interior installed 8 years ago. The aircraft features very low airframe time, long range tanks for 6+ hrs endurance, dual Nav/Com, Garmin 430 GPS and autopilot for comfortable, long range cruising for three, or four people. |
