A multi award winning 1957 Piper Pacer including Australian Grand Champion, Annual Piper Short-Wing Fly-In Tocumwal March 2005. It was originally a Piper Tri-pacer. It was completely rebuilt in 2004 and converted to the present tail-wheel configuration as a Piper Pacer. The rebuild included the removal of the inter-connected aileron/rudder controls and the installation of dual toe brakes. The fuselage truss was powder-coated and new fabric was applied prior to a repaint. The aircraft has always been hangared and properly maintained. Has long range fuel tanks (electric transfer). Cruise speed is 100 knots, stall speed is 42 knots. MTOW 907kg, Empty 503 kg & usable 404 kg. This great aircraft is currently owned by one of Australia's Aviation Legends. The perfect 4 seater tail dragger. Great for training or a day VFR trip. |
